Boone County is located in northwest Arkansas and shares its northern border with the state of Missouri. The county’s population is 36,903 (2010 U.S. Census Bureau) and the county seat is Harrison. Boone County is Arkansas' 62nd county, formed on April 9, 1869.

Boone County is comprised of several cities and towns including: Alpena, Bellefonte, Bergman, Diamond City, Everton, Harrison, Lead Hill, Omaha, South Lead Hill, Valley Springs, and Zinc.
